FAQs

Are your Hermle clocks new?
Yes. New Hermle clocks are sold as new current-production clocks and include the applicable Hermle factory warranty when stated in the listing. Some new Hermle clocks may ship directly from Hermle.

Are you an authorized Hermle seller?
Yes. Just a Clock Collector is an authorized seller for Hermle clocks.

Do vintage clocks come with a warranty?
Vintage, antique, and pre-owned mechanical clocks are older pieces and are generally sold as-is unless otherwise stated. Their condition, function, timekeeping, strike, and chime details are described based on testing before shipment.

What does cleaned and oiled mean?
Cleaned and oiled means the movement has received basic clock service to help it run properly. It does not make a vintage clock new, but it is an important maintenance step for many mechanical clocks.

Can a mechanical clock need adjustment after shipping?
Yes. Mechanical clocks can require minor setup or adjustment after delivery. Shipping, leveling, pendulum setup, humidity, and environment changes can affect operation.

Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. We offer free insured shipping within the United States. Clocks are carefully packed to protect the case, movement, pendulum, key, and other loose components.

What is a triple chime clock?
A triple chime clock usually allows the owner to choose between three chime melodies, commonly Westminster, Whittington, and St. Michael. The exact chime options are listed on each product page.

What is automatic night shut-off
Automatic night shut-off is a feature that silences the clock’s chime during overnight hours. This is helpful for bedrooms, hallways, offices, and quiet living spaces.

What is the difference between quartz and mechanical clocks?
A quartz clock is battery-powered and usually requires less maintenance. A mechanical clock is wound by key or weights and uses a traditional movement with gears, springs, chimes, and other mechanical parts.

Are vintage clocks good gifts?
Yes, especially for collectors, retirement gifts, housewarming gifts, office decor, and people who appreciate history, craftsmanship, and traditional mechanical design.
