Weems and Plath Manufacturer Warranty
Just A Clock Collector is an authorized Weems & Plath dealer. New Weems & Plath products purchased from us include the applicable manufacturer warranty provided by Weems & Plath.
Warranty coverage varies by product and collection. Please retain your Just A Clock Collector order confirmation or receipt as proof of purchase.
Limited Lifetime Warranty
Eligible Weems & Plath products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for as long as the original purchaser, or the original gift recipient, owns the product.
This warranty is not transferable. Proof of purchase is required. If an eligible product is found to be defective, Weems & Plath may, at its discretion, repair the product, replace the defective product or component, provide a comparable replacement when available, or refund the original purchase price.
Two-Year Warranty
Certain Weems & Plath products carry a two-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, beginning on the original date of purchase.
The exact warranty applicable to each item is determined by Weems & Plath and may vary by product line.
8-Day Wind Clock Warranty
New Weems & Plath 8-day wind clocks purchased after July 1, 2024, are covered by a limited lifetime warranty for the original purchaser, provided the clock is returned to Weems & Plath for standard tune-up service at four-year intervals.
Standard service includes inspection, cleaning, lubrication, calibration, and testing. Failure to complete the required four-year service may affect continued warranty coverage.
Conant Collection Warranties
Conant products carry warranties based on the collection:
Conant Elements products are covered for two years.
Conant Décor products are covered for ten years.
Conant Vermont and Jeffersonian products carry a limited lifetime warranty for the original purchaser or original gift recipient.
Natural aging, patina, and changes to the living finish of Vermont and Jeffersonian products are not considered defects and are not covered.
What Is Not Covered
Manufacturer warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, improper installation, tampering, modification, neglect, improper cleaning, normal wear, falls, environmental exposure, or unauthorized repair.
Battery leakage and resulting movement damage are not covered. Batteries should be replaced at least once each year, even if the clock or instrument is still operating. Batteries should be removed when the product will not be used for an extended period.
Unless specifically stated for a particular collection, discoloration, tarnishing, pitting, or deterioration of brass and chrome finishes is not covered.
Requesting Warranty Service
Please contact Just A Clock Collector first with your order number, a description of the problem, and photographs or video when helpful. We will assist you in confirming the applicable warranty and determining the appropriate next step.
When factory evaluation or service is required, Weems & Plath may ask the customer to create an online support case and follow its shipping instructions. Products should not be shipped to Weems & Plath without first receiving authorization and instructions.
Customers are responsible for packaging products securely. Damage occurring during shipment to the manufacturer is not covered by Weems & Plath.
Important Information
The manufacturer warranty is administered by Weems & Plath and is separate from the Just A Clock Collector return policy. Warranty approval, repair, replacement, comparable substitution, or refund remains subject to Weems & Plath’s inspection and current warranty terms.
Weems & Plath may revise its warranty terms. The manufacturer’s warranty in effect for the specific product will control in the event of any discrepancy.
The claim process described above matches Weems & Plath’s current procedure: customers create an account, submit a support case, receive shipping instructions, and are later contacted with an evaluation or estimate. Weems & Plath also warns customers to retain proof of purchase and package products carefully because it does not accept responsibility for inbound shipping damage.
