Anton Schneider 31/9 Cervus Nobilis 1-Day Cuckoo Clock

Cervus Nobilis celebrates one of the oldest themes in Black Forest clockmaking: the traditional hunting piece. A proud stag rises above crossed hunting rifles, while a pheasant and hare complete the carved woodland composition. The richly detailed silhouette makes this 40 cm clock a strong statement piece for a lodge, study or traditionally furnished room.

Movement, sound and animation

The mechanical 1-day movement is wound each day by lifting the pinecone weights. Its cuckoo sounds on the hour and half hour using the traditional bellows-and-pipe call, while the pendulum keeps the scene in motion. There is no music box, and the call can be silenced with the manual night shut-off.

Handcrafted in the Black Forest

The linden-wood case is painted, fitted and assembled by hand in Gütenbach, Germany. Natural variations in wood grain, color and figures are part of the character of a handmade clock, so no two examples are exactly alike. The mechanical movement carries the VdS certificate of authenticity for genuine Black Forest origin, materials and manufacture and is covered by a 24-month movement warranty.
