Anton Schneider 8TMT 1222/9 Town Hall Allmannsdorf 8-Day Cuckoo Clock

Town Hall Allmannsdorf recreates the community's 1903 historicist town hall as a detailed wooden chalet clock. Village figures gather below while costumed couples turn on the balcony above, giving the facade the feeling of a town celebration. Its broad case and layered architecture reward close viewing from across the room or up close.

Movement, sound and animation

The mechanical 8-day movement runs for a week between windings. The music box plays Edelweiss and The Happy Wanderer while the beer drinker and dancers animate the scene. The cuckoo calls on the hour and half hour, and an automatic night shut-off quiets the call and music in the evening.

Handcrafted in the Black Forest

The linden-wood case is painted, fitted and assembled by hand in Gütenbach, Germany. Natural variations in wood grain, color and figures are part of the character of a handmade clock, so no two examples are exactly alike. The mechanical movement carries the VdS certificate of authenticity for genuine Black Forest origin, materials and manufacture and is covered by a 24-month movement warranty.
