The Card Players Clock is one of the collection's most story-rich chalet scenes. Friends gather around a card table below, dancing couples turn above, a beer drinker raises his glass and a mill wheel turns beside the house. Its generous 56 cm width gives every figure and architectural detail room to be seen.

Movement, sound and animation

The mechanical 8-day movement needs winding only once a week. Its full 36-note music box plays Edelweiss and The Happy Wanderer while the card players, beer drinker, mill wheel and dancers create a lively display. The cuckoo calls on the hour and half hour, with automatic night shut-off in the evening.

Handcrafted in the Black Forest

The linden-wood case is painted, fitted and assembled by hand in Gütenbach, Germany. Natural variations in wood grain, color and figures are part of the character of a handmade clock, so no two examples are exactly alike. The mechanical movement carries the VdS certificate of authenticity for genuine Black Forest origin, materials and manufacture and is covered by a 24-month movement warranty.
