Bavarian Tavern presents a miniature inn with unmistakable regional character. A waitress balances beer steins, costumed couples dance and blue-and-white diamond accents frame the festive scene. The wide chalet facade gives the figures room to perform and makes the clock a substantial decorative centerpiece.
Movement, sound and animation
The mechanical 8-day movement needs winding only once a week. Its 22-note music box plays Edelweiss and The Happy Wanderer while the waitress, beer drinkers, mill wheel and dancers bring the tavern to life. The cuckoo calls on the hour and half hour, with automatic night shut-off in the evening.
Handcrafted in the Black Forest
The linden-wood case is painted, fitted and assembled by hand in Gütenbach, Germany. Natural variations in wood grain, color and figures are part of the character of a handmade clock, so no two examples are exactly alike. The mechanical movement carries the VdS certificate of authenticity for genuine Black Forest origin, materials and manufacture and is covered by a 24-month movement warranty.
