Beer Garden captures the energy of a village celebration in a broad Black Forest chalet. A horse-drawn team makes its rounds, a waitress carries beer steins and costumed couples turn on the balcony above. The 52.5 cm-wide facade creates space for a highly detailed scene that rewards viewing from every angle.
Movement, sound and animation
The mechanical 8-day movement runs for a full week between windings. Its fuller 36-note music box plays Edelweiss and The Happy Wanderer while the coachman, waitress, mill wheel and dancers animate the display. The cuckoo calls on the hour and half hour, and automatic night shut-off silences the call and music in the evening.
Handcrafted in the Black Forest
The linden-wood case is painted, fitted and assembled by hand in Gütenbach, Germany. Natural variations in wood grain, color and figures are part of the character of a handmade clock, so no two examples are exactly alike. The mechanical movement carries the VdS certificate of authenticity for genuine Black Forest origin, materials and manufacture and is covered by a 24-month movement warranty.
