The Hermle Tellurium Tourbillon - Brass combines Hermle’s astronomical tellurium display with a newly developed gold-plated tourbillon. The Earth orbits the Sun once each year while rotating on its axis every 24 hours, and the Moon circles the Earth in approximately 29½ days to display the phases of the Moon.
The display also follows the Earth through the twelve signs of the zodiac, with the months and days shown on the calendar dial. The rotating tellurium arm carries the Sun, Moon and Earth above the exposed mechanical movement.
The 8-day mechanical movement features a 4/4 Westminster chime on four polished gongs, a Power-Flow seconds hand, Swiss escapement with 11 jewels, polished plates and automatic nighttime chime shutoff.
Model 23069 features a brass movement finish and is offered with five base-color options.

Hermle Tourbillon presentation
Tourbillon is French for “whirlwind”—a fitting name for a mechanism that places the clock’s escapement and balance inside a slowly rotating cage. Patented by Abraham-Louis Breguet in 1801, it was created to counter the effects of gravity on mechanical timekeeping.
Exceptionally difficult to engineer and mesmerizing to watch, the tourbillon transforms the regulating heart of the clock into visible motion. Hermle pairs it with a tellurium—an astronomical display that follows Earth’s annual journey around the Sun, its daily rotation, and the Moon’s 29½-day orbit and changing phases. Together, they unite precision, astronomy, and mechanical art.
