This clock is powered by its original Elliott 8-day mechanical time-only movement with platform escapement, freshly cleaned, oiled, regulated, and tested prior to listing. It is running strong and keeping accurate time. The time-only design offers quiet, refined operation with no chime or strike, making it ideal for offices, libraries, bedrooms, or any space where a chiming clock is not desired.
The burr walnut case displays exceptional grain on all sides and retains an attractive, even patina. Moldings are crisp, the finish presents honestly, and all hardware—including the feet and top handle—appear original and correct. The engraved brass dial with silvered chapter ring and blued steel hands has aged evenly and remains highly legible, with tasteful decorative detailing throughout.
