The beginning

The clocks that started
my collection.

The Seth Thomas belonged to my Memere; the two Bulova mantel clocks belonged to my Gram. I still own all three. They’re a lasting connection to my grandmothers and an important part of my home.

Living with those clocks has shaped the way I approach this business. I understand why choosing a clock, or caring for one that has been passed down, can be such a personal decision.

A family heirloom

I appreciate the case, the dial, and the decorative details as a collector. But its significance to me comes from knowing whose home it was part of before mine.

That’s something I keep in mind when helping a customer choose a clock they hope to keep in the family.

Family and collecting

A shared interest
with my dad.

My dad has become part of this interest as well. We’ve worked on wooden clock models together, and he watches and lends a hand when I’m working on a movement.

I enjoy the work itself, but I also appreciate having something we can spend time doing together. These photographs capture that side of collecting.

Hands-on experience

Understanding
the details.

The mechanics are a large part of what interests me about clocks. I enjoy examining a movement, understanding how its components work together, and learning more with each piece I spend time with.

That interest carries into the help I offer customers. Questions about movements, chimes, condition, and care deserve clear answers. When I need more information, I work with my suppliers to find it.

I’m based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and I help people find clocks for their homes, gifts, collections, and design projects.

With vintage pieces, I pay close attention to condition, movement, and the details a buyer deserves to know. Careful descriptions and packing are part of the responsibility that comes with sending a clock to its next home.
