Avis Sciuri brings a quiet woodland character to the traditional carved cuckoo clock. Two squirrels stand guard beside the dial, a bird crowns the case, and layered foliage surrounds the composition. The warm walnut-brown finish gives the compact design a calm, darker tone that highlights the carving.
Movement, sound and animation
The mechanical 1-day movement is wound daily using the pinecone weights. The cuckoo calls on the hour and half hour through a traditional mechanical bellows-and-pipe system, with the pendulum providing its familiar steady motion. This model has no music box, and a manual shut-off allows the call to be silenced.
Handcrafted in the Black Forest
The linden-wood case is painted, fitted and assembled by hand in Gütenbach, Germany. Natural variations in wood grain, color and figures are part of the character of a handmade clock, so no two examples are exactly alike. The mechanical movement carries the VdS certificate of authenticity for genuine Black Forest origin, materials and manufacture and is covered by a 24-month movement warranty.
