Anton Schneider 8TMT 275/9 Cervus Regalis 8-Day Cuckoo Clock

Cervus Regalis turns the traditional Black Forest hunting motif into a richly animated wall clock. A stag presides over the carved case, crossed rifles frame the scene, and a bird and hare flank the dial. When the clock comes to life, four costumed dancers step onto the balcony beneath the carving.

Movement, sound and animation

The robust mechanical 8-day movement needs winding only once a week. A 22-note music box plays Edelweiss and The Happy Wanderer, while the dancers add movement to the display. The cuckoo calls on the hour and half hour, and the automatic night shut-off silences both call and music in the evening.

Handcrafted in the Black Forest

The linden-wood case is painted, fitted and assembled by hand in Gütenbach, Germany. Natural variations in wood grain, color and figures are part of the character of a handmade clock, so no two examples are exactly alike. The mechanical movement carries the VdS certificate of authenticity for genuine Black Forest origin, materials and manufacture and is covered by a 24-month movement warranty.
