Cervus Magnus is the largest carved clock in the 2026 Anton Schneider collection. At 75 cm high, its stag, hare, bird and layered oak leaves come together as a deep sculptural relief inspired by the wildlife and forests of the Black Forest. This is a substantial statement clock designed for a room where its scale and carving can be fully appreciated.
Movement, sound and animation
The mechanical 8-day movement runs for a week between windings. A full 36-note music box plays Edelweiss and The Happy Wanderer, accompanied by dancing figures below the dial. The cuckoo calls on the hour and half hour, and the automatic night shut-off quiets both call and music in the evening.
Handcrafted in the Black Forest
The linden-wood case is painted, fitted and assembled by hand in Gütenbach, Germany. Natural variations in wood grain, color and figures are part of the character of a handmade clock, so no two examples are exactly alike. The mechanical movement carries the VdS certificate of authenticity for genuine Black Forest origin, materials and manufacture and is covered by a 24-month movement warranty.
