Mill Tavern captures the welcoming spirit of a small Black Forest inn. Two friends raise their glasses at the table, the mill wheel turns beside the chalet and a costumed couple steps onto the balcony. At 30 cm high, it offers a lively musical scene without requiring the wall space of a larger chalet.
Movement, sound and animation
The mechanical 1-day movement is wound daily. A 22-note music box plays Edelweiss and The Happy Wanderer while the beer drinkers, mill wheel and dancers bring the tavern to life. The cuckoo calls on the hour and half hour, and an automatic night shut-off keeps the clock quiet in the evening.
Handcrafted in the Black Forest
The linden-wood case is painted, fitted and assembled by hand in Gütenbach, Germany. Natural variations in wood grain, color and figures are part of the character of a handmade clock, so no two examples are exactly alike. The mechanical movement carries the VdS certificate of authenticity for genuine Black Forest origin, materials and manufacture and is covered by a 24-month movement warranty.
