This charming cottage has nice proportions and is beautifully colored. The little wooden figurines are of a town band. They sit under the eves of the cottage as the cuckoo calls. While their music plays, the waterwheel turns. The clock is all mechanical. The bird’s sound comes from real wooden whistles and bellows, and the music comes from a genuine music box mechanism.

New details in this piece include fine, wood cut windows and beautifully carved figures. The roof has individually hand-laid shingles, and the dial, hands, and bird are all of solid wood.
